Dr. Bocchiaro started practicing in West Michigan in 2017. She recognized the need for veterinary urgent care services during her year long rotating emergency and surgical internship at Bluepearl in Grand Rapids. Pomona Park Animal Urgent Care was established as a result of that need. We strive to provide exceptional care outside of traditional business hours for west Michigan's pets and pet parents.

Dr. Bocchiaro discovered her passion for veterinary medicine later in life. She studied as a stage performer at Bennington College in Vermont where she earned a BA in Drama and went on to wear many hats in the theatre. Her life took a turn in 2009 when she assisted a downy woodpecker to safety. Her experience compelled her to help animals as her next venture in life. She was fortunate to start out as a veterinary assistant in 2010 and work her way up the ladder as she went back to school to earn her pre-vet credentials. She graduated from Michigan State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2017. She completed a year-long rotating emergency and surgical internship at Blue Pearl in Grand Rapids, MI in 2018. She has since worked as an Associate Veterinarian at VCA in Allendale, MI.

Now, she has started her own venture with Pomona Park Animal Urgent Care in Fruitport, MI and is excited to offer urgent care veterinary services to the West Michigan community. She is determined to create a workplace where quality of life of the team is as integral as caring for the patients. She shares her home in Spring Lake with her 10 year old miniature dachshund, Frodo, her 2 year old Doberman, Beast, and her kitten, Das Kitten.

She has been with her supportive partner James, who was born and raised in Spring Lake, for 15 years.
